The construction of the roof consists of steel bar joists and joist girders framing bearing on several tilt-up concrete perimeter walls. Interior steel columns support the roof and elevated mezzanine level while resting on a shallow spread footing foundation system.

This facility consists of a new two-story office and distribution center located in Lebanon, Ohio. This structure utilizes precast concrete bearing walls at the two-story office complex supporting a floor system of concrete and steel bar joists. The framing of the roof consisted of typical bar joist and metal decking. The adjacent distribution center consists of a pre-engineered metal building supported on a shallow concrete spread footing.

The addition to the Hillshire Farms & Kahns complex located on Spring Grove Avenue is one of many recent building additions to the existing meat packing facility engineered by Advantage Group Engineers, Inc. The creative engineering design solutions generated allowed for continuous operation of this facility during each of the alterations and construction of these additions. The designs allowed for the owner’s increased production relating to their operation and equipment needs.

The new freezer allows additional production capabilities of Graeter’s 130-year tradition of ice cream making.
